Member Specialist

Position Summary

Provides member service and maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns while promoting Sam's Club products and services. Guides members regarding self‑service technology, processes purchases, and assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures. Follows company safety standards, conducts safety sweeps, and manages merchandise handling. Corrects unsafe situations, maintains entrance and exit areas, assists members with purchasing decisions, transports items, and maintains a safe shopping environment.

Secures assets and property, observes and communicates potential criminal activity, records documentation, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with security and safety practices. Trains Member Frontline Services associates on processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers training for new programs, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Handles returns, zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, identifies shrink and damages, implements ethical practices, collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners, prioritizes tasks, recommends improvement opportunities, and adapts to change and feedback.

• Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register)

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
