About The Role

The Lead plays a pivotal role on the management team in driving performance, fostering a positive and inclusive store culture, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint. This position requires a combination of hands‑on leadership, strong work ethic, operational knowledge, and a passion for cannabis education and outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in training and development of the staff, building daily huddles and zone charts, and motivating the team toward achieving goals.
  • Show leadership by arriving in uniform on time, creating memorable experiences for customers, and role‑modeling the company way.
  • Coach staff and set standards of success for every team member.
  • Assist the management team in all day‑to‑day leadership functions and store maintenance.
  • Support team morale, inclusion, and professional growth; participate in store events, promotions, and team‑building efforts.
  • Embodiment and promotion of the company’s core values and mission.
Revenue and Business Leadership
  • Lead and assist in meeting all revenue and sales expectations and communicate critical business information to the team.
  • Build and share daily huddle notes with all team members.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers and lead by example in fostering a culture of customer service.
  • Participate in building a weekly competitive analysis and champion the business.
  • Assist in inventory processes and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
  • Assist in closing procedures, including cash counting and packing nightly cash deposits.
  • Actively promote sales through customer engagement, upselling, and supporting product‑knowledge development.
Day‑to‑Day Leadership
  • Lead and assist in daily store opening and closing duties such as cash management, inventory reconciliation, and overall business operations.
  • Assist participants in training from the leadership team on all day‑to‑day business functions.
  • Prepare in‑store cash flow: till setting, cash handling, and cash deposit.
  • Ensure adequate upkeep of the store and communicate maintenance needs to management.
Inventory Management
  • Lead and assist in creating a culture of compliance through adherence to all compliance requirements.
  • Assist with all inventory processes: daily cycle count, intake, invoice management, organization, and staff training.
  • Prioritize shelf stocking and keep online menus accurate by collecting necessary information from management.
  • Assist in customer order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in inventory organization, disposal, and be knowledgeable on all inventory compliance processes.
Customer Experience
  • Assist with in‑store visual merchandising of products and lead training on customer journey expectations.
  • Increase knowledge and awareness of sales, promotions, and leads; lead by example in customer communications.
  • Lead and promote customer loyalty sign‑up initiatives.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers to ensure loyalty and repeat business.
General
  • Meet all other leadership requirements as relayed by the store management team.
  • Serve as an adaptable leader with high communication with leadership and store employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience
  • In‑depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and industry trends.
  • Strong understanding of local and state regulations governing cannabis operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations per week.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Microsoft Suite experience.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, Dutchie, METRC, or other cannabis‑specific software preferred.
  • Strong cash‑counting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
