Pharmaceutical Sales Territory Representative - Primary Care (Entry Level-Specialty)

We are looking for a patient‑focused, innovation‑driven professional to join our Pharmaceutical Sales Rep team. As a member of the team, you will educate, promote, and sell pharmaceutical and healthcare products to physicians and other specialized medical providers. You will manage your territory to maintain existing physician groups, clinics, and proprietary primary care offices, working closely with management to achieve sales goals and objectives.

Our company provides quality consultative service, coordinates and integrates outside alliances, and leverages internal resources to meet customer needs.

Pharmaceutical Sales Rep Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage territory accounts and identify key decision makers.
  • Inform influential physicians about pharmaceutical and medical products.
  • Balance time spent in front of customers to achieve expected results.
  • Keep skills and product knowledge updated.
  • Plan and compete to win in the healthcare marketplace.

Pharmaceutical Sales Rep Major Duties:

  • Customer focus / build positive relationships; penetrate large accounts and identify key decision makers.
  • Creative thought process in developing a customer base.
  • Create territory plans including goals and resource allocation (coverage, sampling, grant/education proposals, etc.).
  • Gain formulary acceptance/compliance with managed care accounts.
  • Scientific understanding of clinical papers.
  • Team up with customers as a business partner—proactive in seeking potential customers, maintaining knowledge of long‑term trends and patterns to create account business plans.
  • Utilize consultative skills to assist customers with their business.
  • Market and sell vertical products.

Pharmaceutical Sales Rep Requirements / Experience /

Qualifications:

  • Some sales experience and/or abilities.
  • Consultative selling experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work remotely and use Zoom software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to target health professionals to maximize sales growth and increase product volume.
  • Possess effective selling skills and product knowledge to influence prescribed prescription of promoted products.
  • Analyze territory information to optimize routing and achieve sales results.
  • Utilize sales tools, resources, and supporting analysis to plan activity.
  • Develop and execute plans to maximize selling resources.
  • Pre‑call plan to match health‑care professional needs.
  • Leverage data and customer knowledge to build discussions around health‑care professionals’ and patients’ needs.
  • Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on efficient sales, communication, and product knowledge training.
  • Perform company business in accordance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards at all times.
