Salesperson – Entry Level
Entry‑level sales position that supports the DIY business and helps achieve our sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Position can be part time or full time.
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goal and help the store achieve its sales goals.
- Perform DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Responsible for inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Use of delivery board system.
- Friendly communication and strong customer relationships.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operating inventory systems, POS, and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
- Speak and write clear English (Spanish a plus).
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately.
- Work flexibility: assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with task and inventory processes. Position can be part time or full time and must be fleet safety certified.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
- Daily collection of credit accounts.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Use of delivery board system.
- Friendly communication and strong customer relationships.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately.
- Work flexibility: assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Certificates, licenses, registrations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified.
The employee will predominantly walk or stand, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Required abilities include talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
The work environment is usually inside but occasionally outside with exposure to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
