The Environmental Field Specialist supports environmental assessments and field operations, conducting wetland delineations and related environmental studies in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role collaborates closely with project managers and senior environmental staff to collect, analyze, and report environmental field data while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and safety in all project activities. The Environmental Field Specialist will be a champion and leader of our company’s core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

• Conduct and lead wetland delineations in accordance with the USACE Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements, including desktop research and assessments of soils, vegetation, and hydrology to identify and classify wetlands and other sensitive habitats.
• Conduct environmental field surveys, including plant species identification, hydric soil characterization, hydrologic indicator analysis, threatened and endangered species surveys, stream assessments, and other ecological investigations.
• Prepare and review wetland delineation reports, maps, permit documentation, field records, data logs, and other project deliverables.
• Conduct site monitoring, wetland value assessments, and compliance activities related to mitigation, restoration, and permit conditions.
• Collaborate with project managers, environmental staff, clients, and internal teams to support project timelines, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members and assist with the development and improvement of field methods, data collection standards, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Science or related field. –
  preferred
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant industry experience, including wetland delineations and environmental fieldwork.
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours in varying outdoor conditions.
• Working knowledge of USACE wetland delineation protocols.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
