Security Officer

The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people, and may be expected to collect and complete paperwork. Maintains security at all hospital outlets. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision.

Technical Tasks

• Keep daily reports accurate and neat.
• Check equipment to ensure safety.
• Understand the access control system.

Critical Thinking

• Carry out assignments as directed.
• Demonstrate an understanding of policy and procedures.
• Treat confidential information appropriately.
• Regularly report security incidents to supervisor.
• Handle emergency/crisis situations appropriately.
• Demonstrate correct behavior when dealing with violent or potentially violent circumstances.

• Assist others when necessary.
• Demonstrate a consistent level of performance.
• Enforce rules of the organization with a pleasant attitude.
• Support the Mission and Values of OLOL.

Other Duties As Assigned

• Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities for all populations.
• Consistently perform 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values, Service and Quality.

Requirements:

Experience: 5 years of good driving experience: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and zero DUI convictions or reckless driving convictions; periodic motor vehicle/driving record checks may be obtained throughout employment.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Licensure: Valid LA driver’s license (or must obtain one within the probationary employment period if coming from out of state).
