We have a full-time need for an Underground Laborer. The Underground Laborer is responsible for placing cables in trenches, splice conduit sections as directed, and more to ensure that the task is complete in a timely manner. They are also able to work with the crews and support the crews, supervisors, and project managers.

What you will do:

• Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and materials.
• Has the ability to use a variety of miscellaneous tools and equipment to dig.
• Install different types of underground utility pipes.
• Has the ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Can uphold to the mission, values, and safety protocols of Grid Source.
• Has the ability to travel to different job sites.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in the broadband industry required.
• Must have a working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations and general safety standards.
• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.
