Facilities Support Technician IV
The Facilities Support Technician shall perform tasks related to maintaining a facility as it relates to vehicle and boat maintenance, carpentry, minor electrical and grounds maintenance duties.
Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Starting Salary Range for Facilities Support Technician IV: $21-$23 per hour. Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities- Vehicle and Fleet – Assist with ensuring all fleet vehicles and vessels are maintained ready for deployment: monthly service inspections, recommendations for fleet improvement, and proper record keeping.
- Carpentry – Construct, alter, modify or repair a wide range of features in buildings and other facilities: storage areas, work rooms, offices; frame, rafters, joists, insulation, sheet rock, paneling, doors, windows, flooring; build small structures and replace deteriorated sections of existing structures.
- Grounds Maintenance – Lawn cutting using hand, power, or riding equipment; trimming and edging around walks, flower beds and walls; landscaping by planting native flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes; applying herbicides to rid grounds of unwanted weeds and grasses.
- Routine building maintenance such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, pressure washing, and other duties.
- Minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
- Operate various power and hand tools such as portable drills, clippers, joiners, shapers, sanders, nail guns, combustion saws, routers, band & scroll saws, drill presses, tractor, forklift etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-3 years of combined technical education, training and/or hands‑on experience in fleet vehicle maintenance, carpentry, groundskeeping and general building maintenance, including the use of power and hand tools.
- Skills to operate, maintain, troubleshoot equipment such as fleet vehicles, power tools (drills, saws, sanders, nail guns), landscaping machinery (lawn mowers, trimmers, pressure washers), and general maintenance tools (forklifts, tractors, hand tools).
- Previous knowledge and proven abilities to support facilities of similar size and scope, such as large research centers with approx. 150 personnel, including laboratories and outdoor staging areas.
- Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
- Schedule 7 am–4 pm M‑F.
- No travel.
- 100% onsite.
