Skilled Laborers - Lafayette, Louisiana (Job Number: 172062)

Pay $20-$25. TWIC Card required.

• Does work without detailed supervision, working from instructions by a Lead Man or Foreman
• Demolishes, installs, replaces, maintains and repairs concrete slabs and walls, rebar, form work, piping and mechanical
• Excavates, moves and fills in dirt, sludge and/or debris
• Moves and preps materials for the day’s work, general job site clean-up
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines
• Ability to tape measurements
• General knowledge of the use of power tools
• Core Drill Operation, Hammer Drill Operation, Hand Tool Use, Bolt Installation, Mag Drill Use, working from heights

• Required Tools:
  Measuring tape, speed square, Torpedo level, Crescent spud wrench, sledgehammer, Flat pry bar
• Arm, hand, and finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling - with good eyesight
• Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis
• Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, stairs
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas
• May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching and/or near cranes, heavy equipment
• Work in close contact with other peoples, employees, or subcontractors
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Extensive bending and squatting, on feet 8 hours per day
