Description:

CGI seeks a skilled and proactive Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with Azure experience to consult and develop solutions for a major client. The role will support and interact with the client daily and provide a customer‑facing opportunity across the organization. This position may be located in Lafayette, LA (Preferred), Bloomfield, CT, Raleigh, NC, Dallas, TX, or Austin, TX in a hybrid model.

• Full stack development including analysis, design, development, unit testing and implementation of distributed applications and microservices consistent with architectural direction and established patterns
• Help drive design discussions and take ownership of end‑to‑end implementation
• Drive proof of concepts for software tools/technologies related to application or process development and establish patterns
• Plan and implement procedures focused on operational efficiency and automation through Dev Ops capabilities
• Establish, improve, and maintain proactive monitoring and management of supported assets, assuring performance, availability, resiliency, and security
• Maintain a solid and collaborative relationship with delivery partners and business stakeholders
• Complete work following Agile development methodology and concepts

• At least 8+ years of experience as a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with experience in Azure, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large‑scale, mid‑range, and distributed environment
• Expertise in API standards and microservices architecture
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and SOAP services using JSON or XML message formats
• Expertise in integration technologies such as Spring Boot, Camel, and Fuse
• Expertise in JVM‑based languages such as Java and Java 8
• Expertise in functional programming and reactive frameworks
• Build and deploy cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure
• Develop event‑driven architectures using Azure messaging services
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience working with RDBMS and No

• Expertise in git flow model and working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
• Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration engines such as Open Shift
• Experience with application patterns such as circuit breakers, throttling, rate limiting, and service discovery

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
