Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Go programming, microservices architecture, and cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build high‑performance, reliable, and secure applications. This role is located in our Lafayette, LA office (Hybrid).
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.
- Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Develop RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
- Participate in system architecture and design decisions.
- Develop scalable and distributed systems.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Build and maintain microservices‑based architecture.
- Integrate third‑party APIs and internal services.
- Work with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Design and manage databases (SQL/No
SQL such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Write efficient queries and ensure data integrity.
- Optimize database performance.
- Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams on CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and improve application performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and fix scalability issues.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Follow coding standards, version control, and documentation practices.
- 8+ years of IT experience with 3–5 years in architecture/consulting roles.
- Strong proficiency in Golang (Go) with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with REST APIs / gRPC.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL/No
SQL databases. - Understanding of concurrency (go routines, channels).
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Knowledge of event‑driven architecture.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience with high‑load or distributed systems.
