Position: First Officer, IFR (Oil&Gas)
POSITION OVERVIEW Under the general supervision of the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager, ensure the aircraft is operated under the appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations, PHI’s Operations Manual and PHI’s Policy Manual to ensure safe and efficient flights for PHI’s customers. The PIC is directly responsible for, and the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &

ACCOUNTABILITIES It is the responsibility of each pilot to comply with FAA Regulations, the Operations Manual, and any state, municipal and domestic or international government regulations that may apply to the area in which they are operating. In the event of a conflict, the more conservative regulation will apply, except where the current FAA Operations Specifications for PHI authorizes otherwise, and to:

Operate their aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the OM-A, OM-B, Aircraft Flight Manual, Aeronautical Information Manual, or International Airman's Information Manual, and customer  knowledgeable of the contents of the Operations Manual.

Submit all appropriate paperwork accurately, in a neat and timely manner. Occurrence Reports, First Reports of Injury, Daily Flight Sheets and Manifests must be submitted prior to the end of that day's work shift.

Accept duty only when he/she is compliant with the Flight and Duty Time Regulations and present themself rested and medically fit for flying.

Maintain a logbook, or other reliable record, in accordance with 14 CFR § 61.51 to show recent flight experience requirements of 14 CFR § 61.57, 135.245 and 135.247.Report any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to the Program/Operations Manager.

Present themself in a neat and professional manner while carrying out their duties with the Company.

Work with the customer to provide courteous, efficient, reliable, and safe service.

Comply with other specific duties which may be assigned by their  aware of the proper line of operational control.

Report the suspension or revocation, or potential suspension or revocation, of their FAA pilot or medical certificate. This report must be made to the Chief Pilot as soon as possible.

Perform other duties assigned by Management as appropriate.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent

Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument qualification and meet PHI total flight time requirements

First Class Medical required

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Helicopter preferred
1500 Hours PIC Helicopter
500 hours of cross-country flight time
100 hours of night flight time
75 hours of instrument time, including at least 15 hours in helicopters
