Lafayette, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Shipping Receiving Clerk
Essential Duties:- Receive purchasing items as outlined in the Purchase Order (PO)
- Inspect all incoming materials for discrepancies or damage; notify appropriate personnel and place items in designated areas
- Write MTR and job numbers on all incoming materials after inspection
- Compare PO’s with packing slips, documentation, and specifications for accuracy
- Quarantine incorrectly received materials and coordinate disposition (use, return, or replacement) with appropriate personnel
- Prepare outgoing shipments and return materials as instructed
- Assist with maintaining and completing required materials department documentation
- Review Shop Foreman BOMs and pick up/deliver parts as requested
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping and receiving work areas
- Conduct inventory of unused parts at job completion to determine returnable/creditable items; complete return authorization forms for review
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Monitor shop supply levels and notify Materials Coordinator when replenishment is needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel
Skills:
- Valid driver’s license required with acceptable MVR
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle/truck for parts pickup and deliveries
- Experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inspection processes
- Ability to read and match purchase orders, packing slips, and job documentation
- Basic computer and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed (up to 50 lbs or more at times)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing in a warehouse/shop environment
- Ability to load and unload trucks safely
- Must be able to work in varying warehouse/shop conditions
