Senior Accountant

BRIEF COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Our client is a privately held global manufacturer. The company is vertically integrated and has developed a number of very successful brands that specialize in a wide range of markets and distribution channels. This is a well tenured organization with a tight knit culture revolving around a defined set of core values.

This is an accounting position that maintains and controls business transactions of the organization, analytical work and review financial records by applying General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Assists in preparing internal and external consolidated financial statements
• Participates in month/year-end closings, account reconciliations and journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Develop and maintain a process to record customer chargebacks, allowances and rebates
• Handles accounts payable/receivable functions for several companies
• Learn and expedite other accounting duties and tasks as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry preferred manufacturing
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and experience with an ERP software;
  Microsoft D365 F&O a plus
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Creative problem-solving skills coupled with being detailed and task oriented
• Ability to follow directions in a concise manner and works well in a team-oriented environment
