Full‑Time Bilingual Administrative Assistant 1, 2, or 3 – District 4 WIC Program
District 4 WIC Program, Region D (Butts & Henry Counties).
Henry County WIC & Nutrition Center, 135 Henry Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253.
- Provides quality customer service to all customers.
- Acts as liaison between the program, administrative operations and clients; determines the nature of clients’ business and provides appropriate information and assistance, referring to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Handles enrollment, voucher management and/or issuance, and daily/monthly reporting duties.
- Conducts comprehensive clerical research using a variety of resources to generate reports and respond to requests.
- Enters data from forms, records and reports using a computer; codes information as appropriate.
- Prepares memos, correspondence, forms and other documents.
- Follows security procedures for all WIC documents and equipment as set forth by Georgia WIC Branch Policies and Procedures.
- Meets state requirements on System Maintenance Indicators.
- Makes and distributes incoming mail; prepares outgoing documents and other materials; copies and distributes documents and other materials.
- Maintains filing and record‑keeping systems.
All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential employees in an emergency and may be called to staff shelters, Specimen Point of Collection Sites (SPOC), or Point of Distribution Sites (POD).
Minimum Qualifications- Administrative Assistant 1 – High school diploma/GED AND two (2) years of job‑related experience. (Annual Salary $33,000)
- Administrative Assistant 2 – High school diploma/GED AND three (3) years of job‑related experience OR one (1) year of experience in a lower‑level Admin Assistant 1 position or equivalent. (Annual Salary $35,800.08)
- Administrative Assistant 3 – High school diploma/GED AND four (4) years of job‑related experience OR two (2) years of experience in a lower‑level Admin Assistant 2 position or equivalent. (Annual Salary $38,880)
- Bilingual – Spanish/English (adds $1,000 to minimum hire salary).
- Public Health experience
- WIC experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Data entry experience
- At least one‑year medical office experience providing face‑to‑face customer service within the last three years
- At least one year experience utilizing the Electronic Medical Record system (EMR)
- Ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
