Lean Manager
Location:
LaGrange, GA (onsite)
Duration:
Direct Hire/Permanent role
Salary: $100k - $115k
Role overview:
This role will integrate lean principles to optimize processes and eliminate waste, enhancing overall operational efficiency. In addition, this role will have a dual responsibility in developing and implementing EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lean Implementation: Integrating lean principles to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating communication between team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in both EHS and lean initiatives.
Training and Development: Developing and delivering training programs for employees at all levels.
Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing improvements to mitigate risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting and analyzing EHS data to identify trends, measure performance, and report on key metrics.
Specific tasks:
- Drive lean process improvements from concept through full implementation, ensuring measurable results.
- Lead 5S implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives to sustain workplace organization and efficiency.
- Establish, implement, and maintain standardized processes aligned with performance targets and operational goals.
- Identify and lead lean transformation projects, ensuring timely execution and achievement of deliverables.
- Conduct lean assessments and audits to establish baselines, track progress, and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain the lean roadmap, providing clear monthly reporting on progress, outcomes, and key insights.
- Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, programs, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Deliver safety training, lead safety committee activities, and promote employee awareness of safety procedures.
- Manage environmental responsibilities, including waste reduction and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain safety records, monitor PPE, supplies, and ensure emergency preparedness through planning and drills.

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Certification: Six Sigma Black Belt preferred and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Experience: 5 plus years of experience.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills;
Dynamics FO ERP.
