Physician - Non-Invasive General Cardiologist, Wellstar Center Cardiovascular Care

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking General, Non-Invasive Cardiologists to join our multi sub-specialty Cardiology group to provide general cardiovascular care at multiple locations across metro-Atlanta and surrounding within our Cardiovascular clinics and in inpatient settings. Candidates must be board-certified (or BE) and fellowship-trained in Cardiovascular Disease.

Locations include Douglasville, Paulding, Lagrange, and Columbia County, GA.

Our team has opportunities for General Cardiologists in varying locations across metro-Atlanta and surrounding areas in Georgia. While most opportunities are full-time and encompass both inpatient and outpatient cardiology, we are flexible in scheduling and a mix of IP/OP for the right candidate. Currently, our general cardiologists spend a couple days per week in 1-2 outpatient clinic locations, 1-2 days in a hospital location, and also have dedicated image reading days.

Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is one of the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in Georgia. The Wellstar Cardiac Network includes 12 hospitals and 30+ office locations throughout Georgia. With over 100 physicians and 90+ APPs, our team provides care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients from surgery, structural heart, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, all modalities of mechanical circulatory support including ECMO and advanced heart failure.

We also have a very comprehensive research program offering significant opportunities. We are currently members of the Critical Care Cardiology Trials Network and American Heart Association Cardiogenic Shock Registry.

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a level 1 trauma center with just under 700 beds and proudly provides world-class Cardiology care. Kennestone has a dedicated CVOR and cardiac cath lab as well as a hybrid cardiac operating region, a CVICU, and a CICU.

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital was the first in Georgia and the fourth in the nation to receive the highest certification in cardiovascular care – the Comprehensive Cardiac Care Certification – by the Joint Commission and the American Heart Association. Additionally, the Society for Thoracic Surgery (STS) has recognized the Cardiac Surgery program as a 3 Star program for both Isolated CAB and AVR-CAB, putting the program in the top 4-7% of all cardiac surgery programs nationwide.”
