Every square foot of our school was designed to serve the child and the Montessori guides.
We to build a diverse community of learners and to recognize the uniqueness of each child. The Montessori Assistant Guide will work closely with their classroom’s Lead Guide in a prepared environment, as well as working with other members of the Hillside team to support the mission and vision of the school.
Requirements of prospective candidates- Is a lifelong learner, driven to pursue personal and professional growth.
- Has a passion for working with children and understanding the stages of development.
- Has experience communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
- Is in alignment with the school's mission and vision statements.
- Has experience working with children in a classroom setting.
- Holds an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Holds a MACTE Montessori Credential or interest in pursuing training.
- Has experience working in a Montessori classroom.
This is a ten-month full time position with benefits including health insurance options, retirement plan options, professional development, paid time off, and paid school closures. The daily hours are from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. Teachers report directly to the Head of School.

General Duties- To make available time after normal school hours for staff meetings.
- To meet with parents for scheduled conferences and be available for communication with parents outside of scheduled conferences in instances that involve the need for direct communication with the Classroom Assistant.
- To participate in any organized program of parent education as prescribed by the HoS.
- To attend and participate in events outside of the regular school hours such as fundraisers, PTO nights, Open House, etc.
