Electro-Mechanical Technician (Aviation Components)
We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling aviation components at the piece-part level. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and functionality of aircraft components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform teardown, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aviation components.
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems including motors, actuators, and power systems.
- Test and validate components to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
- Work with AC/DC motors, APU/start motors, fans, lighting systems, and power supplies.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Perform root cause analysis on failed or non-conforming components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and inspections per FAA and company standards.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Essential
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of aviation component-level experience.
- Experience working with AC/DC motors, actuators, fans, aircraft lighting systems, and power supplies.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including engine-driven pumps, valves, accumulators, actuators, and brake systems.
- Previous MRO or component repair station experience.
- FAA A&P certification (nice to have, not required).
- Experience in aviation manufacturing or overhaul environments.

Work Environment:
The work environment involves standing, bending, and working at a bench or in a shop. Technicians may need to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed and should have fine motor skills for precision component work.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
