Patient Access Specialist PRN - ED Services; Nights

Position: Patient Access Specialist I PRN - ED Services (Nights)
Wellstar Health System -  - Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients in the Emergency Department, providing a pleasant experience.;
Register patients and verify demographics and insurance in accordance with EMTALA, privacy, and hospital policies.;
Screen Medicare/Medicaid and network status; obtain consents and attestations.;
Access and update patient records in the registration system; process receipts and collect patient payments.;
Assist with directions and information, coordinate with healthcare team, and participate in Quality Improvement processes.
