Manager of HR & EHS

The Manager of HR & EHS provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety functions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving programs that support recruitment and retention, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, compliance, HRIS and workplace safety.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the HR Manager partners with senior leaders, managers, and employees to foster high-performance, team-based culture rooted in trust, respect, safety and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Serves as a trusted advisor and active member of the executive leadership team for ADVICS Georgia. Participate as an active member of the ADVICS North America group companies HR committee.
  • Develop and execute HR and EHS strategies that align with organizational goals and manufacturing operations.
  • Lead and develop the HR and EHS team to deliver high-quality, employee centered services across the company.

Operational Excellence:

  • Build strong relationships across departments to integrate HR and EHS into daily operations and long-term business planning.
  • Stay current on best practices, evolving regulations, and emerging technologies; apply this knowledge to enhance performance and compliance.
  • Optimize HRIS systems to strengthen workforce analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze HR and EHS metrics (KPIs); identify root causes and implement data-driven improvement initiatives.

Employee and Labor Relations

  • Maintain visible presence across facilities and shifts to understand employee concerns and ensure service-oriented support.
  • Oversee employee relations, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution in collaboration with managers.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment by ensuring consistent application of policies and practices.

Talent Management & Development

  • Direct recruitment, selection, and onboarding strategies for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Lead retention initiatives and succession planning.
  • Design and implement leadership development, training programs, and performance management systems.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Support the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, NLRA, ISO
    14001, etc.).
  • Oversee workers' compensation, leave programs, and safety-related HR initiatives.
  • Manage timely completion of audits, reporting, and compliance surveys.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field required, from an accredited, four-year college or university.
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR and/or EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Advanced HR or EHS certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR, ASP ) strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing HR and EHS strategies in alignment with business needs.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Experience with HRIS and workforce analytics systems preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with professionalism and integrity.
