The Director, Logistics & Warehouse Operations provides enterprise leadership for logistics, warehousing, inventory control, fulfillment, and distribution strategy across a multi‑site, hybrid network of internal operations and third‑party logistics (3PL) partners. This role is accountable for designing, operating, and continuously optimizing the logistics and fulfillment network to balance cost, service, scalability, and operational resilience. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, the Director partners closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Commercial, and Finance leaders to ensure network alignment with business strategy, growth objectives, and organizational culture.
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain, or related) preferred.
- 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
- Demonstrated experience leading multi‑site warehouse and distribution networks
- Proven success managing third‑party logistics (3PL) partners, including contracts, SLAs, and KPIs and integration with internal operations
- Strong understanding of network design, cost‑to‑serve analysis, and fulfillment strategy
- Advanced analytical and financial skills with proven ability to manage budgets and P&L
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder‑influence and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS and supply chain systems required
- Experience in materials planning and/or materials management strongly preferred
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements across logistics and warehouse operations
- Pragmatic and structured leadership style
- Define and evolve the enterprise logistics and warehouse strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Lead continuous evaluation and optimization of the distribution and fulfillment network, including location strategy and capacity planning
- Develop cost‑to‑serve models and scenario analyses to guide network and fulfillment decisions
- Establish and lead the 3PL strategy, including provider selection, scope definition, and governance models
- Own SLAs, KPIs, financial performance reviews, and continuous improvement cadence with 3PL partners
- Ensure strong operational integration between internal teams and external partners
- Provide executive oversight for logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment operations across internal and outsourced sites
- Ensure disciplined inventory control, accuracy, visibility, and valuation
- Oversee central receiving operations, outbound shipping activities, material handling standards, and operational safety compliance
- Drive technology adoption, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across operations
- Partner with Planning, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Finance teams to align fulfillment capabilities with demand and margin objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop senior logistics and warehouse leadership talent, fostering a high‑performance culture and succession planning
- Champion change management initiatives to enable operational excellence and organizational alignment
- Establish enterprise KPIs for logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment, safety, culture and sustainability performance
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, service, scalability, and operational resilience
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; regular presence in operational environments required.
- Frequent travel to internal and 3PL sites required
Combination of office, warehouse, and distribution environments, including regular interaction with third‑party logistics sites.
