1st shift Edger Operator (Mon.
-Thurs.) 6am-4:30pm

Location: LaGrange, GA (LG3)
DescriptionSet up and operate the line in order to produce product that meets quality specifications, maintain the machine systems, make necessary adjustments and troubleshoot common machine/quality problems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot common machine/quality problems and make necessary mechanical adjustments to correct problems.
- Operate equipment at optimum efficiency.
- Ensure proper inner cartons are being used for product being run.
- Check for bad inner cartons and inform maintenance and/or quality technician if more than a few.
- Monitor carton quality for proper placement of metal edge and pin holes in place.
- Perform brand, size and metal changes in an efficient manner.
- Inspect inner cartons coming out of edger for quality product.
- Load inner cartons into machine hopper.
- Perform quality checks at least once per hour and complete quality check sheets.
- Clean any jams.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc.
- Complete production report and WIP load tickets.
- Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems. Communicate more complex problems to maintenance.
- Assist with make ready whenever possible.
- Understand and follow production schedule.
- Identify substandard product or raw materials.
- Any other duties as requested or required.
- Able to and willingly operates all edgers at established average efficiency level of 90% or better.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs
- Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season)
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years manufacturing experience
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklift
