Pay: $80k-$85k

The Plant Operations Manager supports and coordinates with the team contributing to the production and repackaging of compressed and liquid gas cylinders, addressing unsafe acts or conditions promptly, and collaborating on task distribution according to customer needs, current stock levels, and the strengths of the team.

The Plant Operations Manager guides and supports the activities of team members contributing to the producing and repackaging of compressed and liquid gas cylinders, addressing unsafe acts or conditions promptly, and collaborating on job tasks with team members according to customer needs, current stock levels and the strengths of the team.

Operates and safely maintains the plant for pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders while supporting compliance with all federal, state, local and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws.

Maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance. Studies production schedules and plans team capacity for completion of job assignments. Collaborates on and/or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Introduces and champions measures to advance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Refines working conditions and use of equipment to support the efficiency of the team. Supports the achievement of safety rules, prioritizing safety training and ensuring it is regularly scheduled, conducted and documented.

Shares company policies with the team and promotes safety regulations to protect our people. Supports the achievement of proper investigation and reporting for all injuries and accidents within 24 hours. Nurtures alignment and collaborates with team members in solving work-related problems. Recommends and/or initiates career journey adjustments, such as promotions, transfers, and performance harmony measures. Supports the achievement of effective handling for associate issues and grievances.

Supports and partners with supervisors to provide guidance and leadership. Initiates and/or suggests plans to inspire the team to contribute to our shared journey. Provides coaching and supportive feedback promptly to ensure individuals needing additional support are identified and empowered to reach acceptable performance, or guided toward new opportunities. Supports new team members and cross-trains associates to continue production during personnel shortages.

Maintains time and production records and approves overtime when essential, while keeping overtime at sustainable levels. Additional duties and projects as may be assigned. Employee may frequently be required to move through manufacturing and/or office locations. Employee will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information. Employee will be required to observe and assess information received via computer. Requires use of computer, telephone and operation of a fork-lift.

Occasionally may be required to move up to 60 pounds or more with the aid of material handling equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving office/production machine parts. Minimal travel required. Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts and risk of electric shock. Requires both indoor & outdoor environments in various seasonal weather conditions.
