Position Overview

A Manufacturing Operator I (MFG OP I) is an entry-level role in Mountville Rubber. Upon mastering additional positions, you may become a MFG OP II, MFG OP III, or MFG OP IV. Each step up comes with additional pay increases.

Compensation

$17/hr Base Pay (+$0.50 Shift Differential for 2nd shift, +$1.00 Shift Differential for 3rd shift)

Job Duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination.
  • Ensure the oil and mixing process for the first batch is verified by production supervisor or another designated employee.
  • Remove all knots from pre-weigh bags before loading them into the mixer.
  • After the last batch, keep mixer door open and run mixer for an additional 10 minutes before shutting down.
  • Complete the current batch before taking breaks.
  • Fold rubber into boxes or onto pallets.
  • Load raw materials onto a belt as instructed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand control screens.
  • Competence in reading a tape measure.
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
Work Environment
  • Non-Climate controlled warehouse.
  • Due to the production of rubber from powdered chemicals, you will get dirty working at Mountville Rubber.
  • Steel-toe boots are required.
