DMS QC Technician 1st Shift

The Duncan M. Stewart QC Technician's primary responsibility is to monitor and control quality issues that could make it to our customers. They are expected to participate in any improvement activities that are necessary to achieve a world class working environment. Total involvement in our program will enable Duncan M. Stewart to produce the best quality product in a safe and efficient manner.
Basic
Job Responsibilities:
- Team / Safety shift leader
- Monitor machine and product performance, stopping either if necessary
- Shift quality inspections, including crossed end audits
- Perform machine setups
- Perform machine, yarn, material COAs
- Doff rolls
- Change backing
- Change tufting needles, knives, and loopers
- Monitor re-mend SAP transactions
Highly preferred to have basic experience with infinity machine, SDN products and SAP.
Requirements:
- Must be in good standing on Safety Engagement, Attendance and Performance
- Must have Level 4 Operator Experience
- Go up and down steps from the second level
- Lift yarn package – max. 20 lbs.
- Must be able to use a calculator
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must be able to communicate well with others, and in a respectful manner
