Description:
The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
This role practices in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and other leaders.
Evidence-based practice and research guide the framework for care delivery.
RN competencies are aligned with professional practice models and supported by organizational values.
The individual must uphold the practice of nursing in accordance with the relevant professional regulations.
As part of the patient services team, the RN Clinical Nurse is expected to advocate for patients while adhering to policies and procedures.

The RN performs the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
They utilize evidence-based practice and analytical skills to ensure individualized care.
The RN provides relationship-based, patient-centered care reflecting an understanding of cultural diversity.
They partner with patients and significant others to communicate effectively.
The RN documents the delivery of safe quality patient care and promotes an inclusive environment.
Collaboration and teamwork with the healthcare team are essential, fostering a respectful workplace.
The RN supports performance improvement initiatives contributing to safe, quality patient care.
They engage in ongoing professional education and competency assessments.
The RN serves as a mentor for other nursing professionals, fostering a qualified workforce.
They promote evidence-based practice and engage in research initiatives when applicable.
The RN complies with all relevant policies and legal standards.
They proactively plan for patient care across various settings and participate in protocol development.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to optimize the use of technology in clinical care.
Time management, critical thinking, and the ability to respond to emergencies are essential.
The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment is required.
