- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to patients within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized, high-quality, safe care for patients and families.
- Assess patient status and implement, monitor, and adjust care plans; perform ongoing evaluations and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and policies; document outcomes accurately in the chart.
- Collaborate with licensed and unlicensed team members, communicate clearly with patients, families, and significant others to support informed decision-making.
- Uphold professional standards in line with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics; integrate evidence-based practice into daily care.
- Document care activities, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license to practice in Georgia
- Education appropriate for RN licensure in Georgia (as required by state regulations)
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
- Clinical nursing experience in a care setting; ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital-based environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient- and family-centered approach
