Job Description

MMR is seeking a full‑time HSE Project Technician for our LaGrange, GA site. This role reports to the Project Safety Coordinator or Branch Office Safety Coordinator and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct new‑hire and site‑specific orientations, including MMR Orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, and PPE.
  • Accompany injured or ill employees to medical facilities and provide case management as directed.
  • Perform field inspections and audits (JSEAs, equipment inspections, ground assurance, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, ladders, field observations).
  • Participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety Program by performing observations and providing feedback.
  • Enter BBS observation details into the BBS Observation Database.
  • Assist with uploading site training into the MMR electronic database (M‑Files) for record retention.
  • Deliver on‑site coaching and follow‑ups to ensure training is understood.
  • Enforce safety procedures and MMR “Life Critical Policies.”
  • Correct unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Participate in daily JSEA and daily toolbox meetings.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Stay current on MMR HS&E policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA).
  • Assist in accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Inspect tools and safety equipment, including arc‑flash and shock protection, before use.
  • Perform monthly inspections of site office, tool, and calibration trailers.
  • Perform additional HS&E support duties as requested.
  • Attend required and refresher training related to company, vendor, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all safety and company rules and regulations.
Education and Certifications Required

STSC or higher certification, OSHA 30, high school diploma or equivalent, and 3‑5 years of experience as an HSE technician in electrical.

Certifications and Licenses

Employee must possess valid driver’s license or state identification and a Social Security card. State and/or local licenses may be required.

Certification that may be a plus:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), NFPA 70E knowledge.

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

Schedule

58‑hour workweek.
