Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of building maintenance and upkeep, including preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems. The goal is to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and within safety, quality, and business standards.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and collaborate with the operations team to address and resolve equipment and manufacturing system obstacles, as well as mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Support all aspects of building maintenance and upkeep, including minor plumbing, drywall, painting, cleaning, and other general building maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and problem-solving, along with other duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot recurring equipment issues and collaborate with the maintenance team to find solutions.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding and implementation of all OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and strict adherence to the Lockout/Tagout Program.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and production safety practices, including LOTO.
  • Electrical knowledge, including schematics, PLC, 480v/3 phase, D/C motors, Yaskawa A/C drives, wiring, and control logic.
  • Solid understanding of industrial mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with boilers and MIG/TIG welding is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Experience with 480v, 240v, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, conveyors, photo eyes, sensors, AC/DC, and CMS systems.
  • Understanding of what PLCs are and their functions, as well as experience troubleshooting 480v and 240v, pneumatics, and conveyors.
  • Experience with CMS, hydraulics, VFD, PLC, and PLC troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This position is for the night shift, working from 5 PM to 5 AM on a 2,2,3 schedule, providing a three-day weekend every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LaGrange, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
