Summary
Residential Electricians are responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for residential (single-family homes, apartments, and large scale housing complexes) customers while providing excellent customer service. Their duties include communicating with clients to establish job details and related costs, reviewing electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits and coordinating with team members to provide home comfort support.

Essential Functions
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues
- Installation of electrical systems, such as ceiling fans, lighting, GFCIs/GFIs (ground fault
- Establish and foster client relationships through strong communication and customer service providing the ability to fully explain to customers what the issues are and their options for repair (when applicable)
- Upgrade a home to be more energy efficient
- New wiring and circuits
- Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and
- Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams with the ability to layout, plan and install electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
- Maintain good working order of Company vehicle (i.e., safety checks, maintenance, etc.)
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle in a clean and organized fashion
- Understand Company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at job site
- Participate in Company provided training and comply with all code regulations
- Adhere to all Company safety rules

- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 5 years of proven experience as an Electrician (residential and/or light commercial)
- Class I or Class II Georgia Electrical Contractor License a plus
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
- Results driven in a high energy environment
- Attention to detail
- Must pass MVR screening and maintain a good driving record
- Must be able to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to read, write and speak in English

- Environment:
Work in varying temperatures including nonclimate controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures - Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
- Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
