General Maintenance Technician
Location:
LaGrange, GA
Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday – Friday
Compensation: $23–$27/hour
We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to support commercial and industrial facility operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and overall facility support while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues including motors, pumps, MCC panels, VFDs, lighting, and dock equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and shift rounds to monitor system performance and identify issues
- Repair and maintain building systems including overhead doors, fire life safety systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical distribution systems
- Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities and recommend PM improvements
- Support vendor coordination, parts ordering, work orders, and maintenance projects
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and various hand and power tools
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and facility personnel regarding work status and repairs
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, and safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting skills
- Experience with HVAC systems, motors, pumps, electrical controls, and building systems
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read technical instructions, diagrams, and maintenance documentation
- Forklift, JLG, and aerial lift operation experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Must be comfortable supporting occasional overtime or weekend schedules as needed
- Hands-on maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities
- Self-driven, dependable, and safety-focused
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
