Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician who is committed to upholding all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures. This role involves conducting regular checks of systems and equipment to identify issues, documenting performance, and maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing substantial equipment independently and as part of the facilities maintenance team.
Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and evaluations of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration, and features like wear and replacement of expendables such as belts, hoses, fluids, and filters.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus and systems such as HVAC equipment, fire life safety systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Repair systems and apparatus, which may include tasks like rebuilding pumps, steam traps, valves, electrical, pneumatic solenoid devices, painting walls, fixing leaks and stoppages in plumbing, and maintaining electrical controls and distribution systems.
- Perform administrative tasks such as parts ordering, PO# creation, vendor management, and attending job meetings/project meetings.
- Document work results in the CMMS, analyze findings, and recommend updates to the PM list.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customer staff to ensure all aspects of a work request are understood and the customer is adequately informed about work status and expected completion dates.
- Manage maintenance projects, including complex equipment repair and provide guidance to Sub-Contractors of facilities services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
- Proficiency in HVAC, troubleshooting, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, repair, installation, preventive maintenance, service, building maintenance, drywall, blueprint reading, sheet metal, and facilities maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and small/large power tools.
- Capability to disassemble/reassemble fixtures, fans, pumps, HVAC equipment, and other building-related equipment.
- General plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Understanding of building systems and operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Life Safety Systems, building envelope.
- Competency in operating a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, cell phone, and electronic tablet.

- Flexibility to support non-customary schedules and weekend work.
- Mathematical ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Capability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Problem-solving skills to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Work EnvironmentThe position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life routine.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of LaGrange, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
