Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; recommends improvement opportunities; and adapts to change, feedback, and difficulty. WhatYou’ll Do
- Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventive maintenance repairs, and replacements on all Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) following company guidelines.
- Create and process work orders, assess maintenance, repair and replacement needs, identify needed parts and possible solutions, select the best solution.
- Conduct maintenance repairs and replacements, e.g., repair and replace brake system components such as air antiskid, ABS, disc brakes; replace leaky wheel seals; dismount/install tractor‑trailer tires; comply with DOT guidelines and requirements.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing; complete work order records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures.
- Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling, monitor the drop for safety compliance, follow procedures for fuel additives, monitor tank levels before and after the drop, collect and prepare fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and complete appropriate paperwork.

- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Approved brake inspection qualification per FMCSA Section 396.25.
- Approved vehicle inspection qualification per FMCSA Section 396.19.
- Microsoft Office ASE Certification.
- DOT Transportation Certification.
- Hourly wage: $27.85 – $31.35* (actual rate will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage).
- Premiums: $0.35 – $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
