Position summary:This position is designed to support the day to day functions of Troup county facilities predominantly related to people and public space. Limited support of other Interface companies, predominantly in the Atlanta area, will be required.
Educational requirements:High school diploma or GED
Technical school certificate preferred
Skills and experience:- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Training and/or experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance craft.
- One to two years experience for commercial grade carpentry including metal stud framework, drop ceilings, drywall installation and finishing.
- Experience with carpet tile installation preferred.
- Must meet the license requirements for powered industrial equipment.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Support facilitiesfunctions predominantly related to people and public space.
- Plan simple layouts; execute the construction, run conduit, paint, etc. as needed.
- Experience in commercial painting.
- Assemble and modify furniture systems including electrical and data systems.
- Inventory, protect and transport all furniture assets stored for re-use or upcoming projects.
- Manage record retention physical inventory; storage and retrieval process.
- Work with and oversee contractors and liaise with the maintenance group on joint projects.
- Maintain housekeeping.
- Comply with safety rules.
- Be aware of departmental safety data sheets (MSDS).
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
- Understand and support Interface's commitment to sustainability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
