Role Overview
Manages the warehouse staff and contract labor in shipping, receiving, and general warehousing activities. This role will monitor associates' performance within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, and will provide ongoing training and support to ensure all team members are proficient in system use.
Job Functions- Manage WMS, ensuring accurate and timely shipping of items to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor sales picks and ensure they are completed promptly in WMS.
- Identify and communicate process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Prioritize urgent tasks related to customer shipments and ensure prompt resolution.
- Generate reports, charts, and graphs to track performance and inventory trends.
- Supervise inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory, as well as investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Review and calculate time for payroll including time‑off requests, sick leave and overtime pre‑approval in Dynamics 365 AX.
- Direct team to move materials, supplies, or equipment to designated areas using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., stand‑up/sit‑down forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) and assist as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date work instructions.
- Perform special projects within the Warehouse Department as needed.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field such as supply chain. - Experience:
Proven experience in leading others and directing work; warehouse/inventory environment (3‑5 years). - Technical
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and office equipment like calculators, printers and scanners. - Willingness to train and learn Dynamics 365 (AX) ERP system.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call nights and weekends.
