As we continue to grow, we're looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk with a background in the legal industry to support our accounting team. This is a full-time, onsite position based in our office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with high-volume transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and takes pride in maintaining efficient financial processes while collaborating with a supportive team.

What You'll Do
  • Processing a high volume of vendor invoices with speed and accuracy.
  • Preparing and executing check runs while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintaining accounts payable records using Aderant and Elite accounting systems.
  • Posting journal entries and reconciling financial data to ensure accuracy.
  • Leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze and manage financial information.
  • Performing three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Assisting with month-end activities and supporting the accounting team on special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Aderant and/or Elite accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and working with large datasets.
  • Experience processing high-volume invoices, vendor payments, and check runs.
  • Strong understanding of AP best practices, reconciliations, and three-way matching.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
