Account Clerk – Accounts Payable

Express Employment Professionals, Laguna Hills is recruiting for an Account Clerk – Accounts Payable for a temporary assignment with a local organization.

Temporary, Full-time
Pay:
Up to $25/hr.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Assignment:
Approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension

Location:

On-site

• Review and process vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
• Verify approvals and accurately code invoices to the appropriate GL accounts.
• Process payments, including checks, ACH, and reimbursements.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end accounting activities.
• Support accruals and audit requests.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal staff.
• Handle confidential financial information with discretion.

• Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and meet payment and month‑end deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and know when to escape issues.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• College coursework in accounting, finance, or business.
• Previous AP, accounting, bookkeeping, or purchasing experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, electronic invoice‑processing systems, and spreadsheets.
