Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The Console Technologist is responsible for the assembly, servicing, and maintenance of the console which allows healthcare professionals to interact with life‑saving medical devices. The Console Technologist reports directly to the Sr. Director of Engineering and Operations. This position will be Full‑Time with a pay range of $35‑$45 per hour. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hands‑on assembly of electronics, wiring, and support of electronics and mechanical manufacturing
- Performs mechanical rework of console hardware as needed
- Reviews and provides recommendations for Manufacturing Engineering for manufacturing process instructions to ensure optimal manufacturing methods
- Identifies improvement opportunities for production equipment, fixtures, and tooling
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; follows manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requests special service as needed
- Oversees completion of production documentation, keeps all revisions current in assembly area, and provides guidance and training to other employees
- Helps Manufacturing Engineering with process validations, including process validation documentation, and provides feedback to Quality
- Ensures all equipment has PM, Cal, IQ, OQ, PQ completed and is properly labeled
- Recommends updates to manufacturing and inspection documents as needed
- Works with facilities staff for room maintenance
- Works with Supply Chain to pull inventory for work orders and completes production traveler pick list information
- Works with Operations to improve the layout of the manufacturing area
- Participates in team meetings and provides feedback about manufacturing methods and design
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of mechanical/electrical experience working with capital equipment preferably within the medical device industry or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand CAD (Solid Works) drawings.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with teams.
- Working knowledge of medical device regulations, GMP, and GDP.

Employee must be able to process paperwork and utilize office equipment (including personal computer, phone, typewriter, copiers, etc.). A large portion of the day is spent communicating orally in person and by phone. Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals. Some light lifting may be occasionally required.
