Overview
UC Irvine Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner II to provide advanced oncology care in the Laguna Hills Infusion Center at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. The position supports multi‑disciplinary coordination, patient education, and quality outcomes in an ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and adolescent oncology patients, including assessment, management, and treatment of chronic and acute conditions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other health professionals.
- Provide patient education and health promotion regarding disease management, medication use, and self‑management skills.
- Document clinical findings, diagnostic results, and care plans in compliance with institutional standards.
- Participate in clinical trials as a sub‑investigator and contribute to research initiatives.
- Current, active, unrestricted California registered nurse license and nurse practitioner license.
- Accredited Nurse Practitioner program completion and at least two years of oncology nursing experience, including infusion center practice.
- National Board certification as FNP‑BC, AGPCNP‑BC, or ACNPC‑BC and oncology chemotherapy certification (ACONP) obtained within three months of hire.
- Advanced clinical skills in pharmacology, advanced drug therapy, and infusion technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and PHI compliance.
