Position: Full Time Home Infusion Nurse / HHA Administrator

Job Overview

An Infusion Nurse I is a licensed registered nurse who provides basic direct patient care to patients at home or in an alternate infusion site, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care under a physician’s plan of care. The role is supervised closely by a designated supervisor.

Additional Role: HHA Administrator Responsibilities (Including California Requirements)

In addition to clinical infusion nursing duties, this role will serve as the designated Home Health Agency (HHA) Administrator (or Alternate Administrator) for the assigned location, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and survey preparedness.

Key Administrator Responsibilities Regulatory & Survey Readiness
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Regulatory & Accreditation communications and state/Joint Commission survey activities.
  • Ensure availability within one (1) hour for unannounced surveys or delegate to the Alternate Administrator.
  • Coordinate on‑site readiness with appropriate departments to include facility access, internet, and required postings.
  • Participate in mock survey activities as requested by the Regulatory and Accreditation department.
Operational Oversight
  • Maintain compliance with all site‑level requirements, including:
    • Active licensure postings (business license, HHA license, accreditation certificate)
    • Required federal/state labor law postings
    • On‑site company communication device and emergency/basic supply kit
    • Maintain accurate administrative oversight while working within nursing leadership structure.
Emergency Preparedness
  • Coordinate with nursing leadership to activate the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) during emergencies.
  • Participate in emergency drills, documentation, and after‑action reporting.
Compliance & Reporting Requirements
  • Complete and submit quarterly HHA inspections and ensure follow‑up actions.
  • Conduct and document annual fire drills and support After‑Action Reports (AARs) with support from the Regulatory and Accreditation Coordinator.
  • Maintain familiarity with key compliance documents (EOP/EMP, inspections, regulatory files).
Leadership & Coordination
  • Ensure Administrator and Alternate Administrator designations remain current and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Managers, Senior Nurse Managers, and Regulatory & Accreditation teams.
California‑Specific Administrator Requirements (Title 22 & CDPH Alignment)

For roles supporting California‑licensed Home Health Agencies, the Administrator must meet state‑specific qualifications and regulatory expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Qualified as a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher).
  • Have at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in healthcare or a related field.
Experience & Oversight Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in health service administration, including oversight of personnel, operations, and compliance activities.
  • Capable of directing agency operations in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22 governing Home Health Agencies.
Background & Clearance Requirements
  • Must successfully complete criminal background clearance via Live Scan fingerprinting prior to performing duties.
  • Must meet “good character” requirements as defined by California Health & Safety Code for licensed agencies.
