Job Summary

A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Charge Registered Nurse position is available in Laguna Hills, California. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work 12‑hour night shifts, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

The qualified candidate will possess solid NICU experience and necessary certifications.

    Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
  • CA license in hand, minimum of 3 years of solid NICU experience in Level III or higher units
  • Current BLS, NRP, and Advanced NRP certifications
  • Valid Nursys report pulled within the last 2 weeks
  • Current flu vaccination
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with neonates less than 24‑28 weeks, 29‑34 weeks, or greater than 34 weeks gestation
  • Experience managing high‑risk deliveries
  • Proficiency in advanced neonatal procedures and medications
Additional Information
  • Must have experience attending high‑risk deliveries, managing various neonatal ventilations and lines, neonatal medication administration, APGAR scoring, and patient/family teaching.
  • Knowledge of EPIC Electronic Patient Record system required.
  • RTO (Return to Office) must be presented at submission.
  • Float rotation may be required, potentially floating between labor and delivery and neonatal ICU units.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
