American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and 3+ years of Emergency Department experience.
Requirements- Active CA RN license in hand required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- 1 professional reference required (within 2 years)
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation
- Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac monitoring
- Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience treating trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred
- Pediatric emergency experience including head injury, near drowning, and seizure care preferred
- Emergency Department setting at a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
- Weekend shifts required depending on department needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the hospital based on census, no floating to other units required
- Utilizes EPIC charting system
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
- Administer procedural sedation, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors as needed
- Time off must be pre-approved and submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off requests accepted afterward
- Local candidates accepted, though at a lower pay rate for those within 50 miles of the facility
- Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for this position
- First-time travelers accepted if they have 3-5 years of ER experience
