Title: Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting
Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 + Bonus
Our services client, a multi-billion-dollar organization, is seeking a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to lead technical revenue accounting and reimbursement initiatives across the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will oversee a small team and serve as a cross-functional bridge between accounting, finance, and operations, playing a key role in strengthening revenue recognition practices and reporting for a rapidly growing organization.
The ideal candidate must have strong technical revenue accounting experience under ASC 606, progressive accounting leadership experience, and a CPA license.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on complex revenue arrangements and reimbursement structures.
- Evaluate new contractual arrangements, program changes, and operational initiatives for their financial statement impact.
- Interpret and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance to complex and evolving business arrangements.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memoranda supporting revenue recognition conclusions and key estimates.
- Partner with contracting, operations, and revenue cycle teams to translate deal structures into accurate revenue treatment.
- Monitor industry and regulatory trends affecting reimbursement and revenue, assessing accounting and reporting implications.
- Review net revenue estimates, contractual allowances, reserves, and settlement accruals.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare executive-level analyses explaining revenue trends, drivers, and areas of risk.
- Serve as a key liaison for external audit requests related to revenue and reserve estimates.
- Maintain and strengthen SOX-related internal controls over revenue processes.
- Identify and lead opportunities to automate and streamline revenue accounting and reporting through systems and data tools.
- Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders on system integrations and reporting enhancements.
- Manage and mentor a direct report while training broader finance teams on technical revenue concepts.
- Present revenue findings, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting and technical accounting are required
- CPA license and/or Public Accounting upbringing is required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with complex, contract-based or reimbursement-driven revenue models preferred
- Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit support
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, business leaders, and external stakeholders
