Overview

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, stay, and checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards.
  • Operate the PBX console and meet all hotel standards (if applicable).
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and facilities.
  • Handle packages, mail, and messages delivery and logging.
  • Review Front Office logs daily.
  • Assist guests with information on restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups.
  • Manage check-ins and checkouts efficiently and courteously.
  • Operate all relevant front desk systems and complete shift duties timely.
  • Assist with guest safety deposit boxes and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
  • College coursework in related field helpful;
    High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred; computer skills required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for entire shift, lift up to 20 pounds, and handle flexible hours.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to hotel standards and regulations.
  • Ability to handle problems proactively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to cross-train and attend all required training sessions.
