OverviewThe Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, stay, and checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome guests in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards.
- Operate the PBX console and meet all hotel standards (if applicable).
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and facilities.
- Handle packages, mail, and messages delivery and logging.
- Review Front Office logs daily.
- Assist guests with information on restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
- Follow cash handling and credit policies.
- Be knowledgeable about rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups.
- Manage check-ins and checkouts efficiently and courteously.
- Operate all relevant front desk systems and complete shift duties timely.
- Assist with guest safety deposit boxes and maintain a clean work environment.
- College coursework in related field helpful;
High School diploma or equivalent required. - Experience in hospitality preferred; computer skills required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for entire shift, lift up to 20 pounds, and handle flexible hours.
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to hotel standards and regulations.
- Ability to handle problems proactively and maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to cross-train and attend all required training sessions.
