Beach Attendant

Compensation

USD $22.00 per hour (Hourly).

Greet guests as they arrive at and depart from the beach, set up chairs, towels, and umbrellas per guest requests, and ensure a pleasant experience. Be knowledgeable about daily hotel events and amenities to recommend to guests. Maintain cleanliness of the pool, beach, and laundry facilities, and provide assistance with local area information and hotel services.

• Provide guests with exceptional customer service and ensure all related standards are performed correctly.
• Identify and explain hotel facilities, services, and hours of operation to guests.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled hotel functions, local attractions, and transportation options to guide guests.
• Assist guests with concierge services, including recommendations for restaurants, events, and city attractions.
• Answer the beach telephone within three rings using proper greeting and telephone etiquette.
• Handle guest complaints immediately and professionally.
• Monitor and maintain the appearance of the beach and shed, ensuring all amenities are in working order.
• Track and report any damaged or missing beach equipment and report items that require replacement.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests even when busy.
• Coordinate continuous laundering of towels and chair covers to ensure fresh items for new guests.
• Use an in‑house guest list to ensure beach amenities are only provided to hotel guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of both pool areas and surrounding facilities.
• Follow proper use of laundry facilities to prevent damage to equipment.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must be attentive to detail, work efficiently, and follow through on tasks with courtesy and cooperation with minimal supervision.
• Must manage time and remain organized while cleaning towels, pool areas, and distributing beach amenities.
• Must handle internal and external customers who may require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple guest requests simultaneously.
• Must demonstrate punctuality, regular attendance, and dependability.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and coworker collaboration.

• Previous guest relations training.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Endure various physical movements—transporting chairs, umbrellas, and towels from the beach to the laundry area.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry heavy items with adequate safety techniques.
• Stand, walk, and sit continuously while performing essential job functions.
• Possess sufficient manual dexterity for loading and unloading chairs from the beach shed.
• Perform tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
