Role Description The Auto Cad Technician will support the surveying team by producing accurate technical drawings and plans based on field data and project requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and revising survey drawings in AutoCAD, preparing construction and site layout plans, and assisting with documentation for boundary, topographic, and compliance surveys. The role involves close collaboration with surveyors and project managers to interpret survey notes, ensure drawing standards are met, and maintain organized project files.

The Auto Cad Technician will also help verify dimensions, check for completeness and accuracy, and support quality control processes. This is a part-time, on-site role, Part time weekends available. based in Lake Barrington, IL.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess proficient Technical Drawing and Drawing skills for producing precise survey and construction plans.
• Candidates should possess skills with AutoCAD specifically Civil3D software, including layers, scaling, and plotting conventions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with surveyors, project managers, and office staff.
• Preferred candidates possess moderate with Construction Drawings for site layouts, boundary plans, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in drafting, surveying, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Lake Barrington, IL and follow company safety and quality standards.

Compensation:

Dependent on experience 30-40 hourly plus benefits
