Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. Five identical process plants will be constructed, each comprising one gas pre‑treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups.
The facility will also include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m³ full‑containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
MajorResponsibilities
- Supervise and/or direct craft activities as assigned.
- Schedule work to be performed and review work accomplished by each craft.
- Determine workforce requirements.
- Coordinate established area operational plans.
- Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Prepare field material requisitions for tools and consumables, ensuring crafts have the necessary equipment.
- Ensure the most current design documents are used and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance comply with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Work with construction field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals to interpret engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Experience in a supervisory position on a construction site.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate team members effectively and positively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve in high‑pressure situations.
- Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress) and to use appropriate standard issued personal protection equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (e.g., harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
