Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid‑scale, mixed‑refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre‑treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups.
The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000 m³ full‑containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
MajorResponsibilities Leadership / Supervision
- Supervision of up to 50 craft.
- Directs craft activities as assigned.
- Schedules work and reviews completion.
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Oversees preparation of Field Material Requisition s for tools and consumables and ensures that crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
- Ensures most current design documents are used and all design changes approved before implementation.
- Ensures subcontractors’ performance complies with specifications and is within schedules and budgets.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Oversees engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen and craft professionals.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Experience on an LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Effective communication skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans clearly.
- Strong technical knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement and concrete structures/installation.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability; knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes ordinarily acquired through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Prior work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including walking on a construction site in high heat and humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolds, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress) and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.
