Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5‑mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARYThe Scheduler supports LBB through technical planning of the project to determine and plan construction procedures, production methods, scheduling constraints, and critical path for project execution and completion.
LOCATIONThis position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Monitor the project planning, resource analysis, functional integration, and forecast and trend analysis.
- Review schedules and prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and analysis findings.
- Monitor progress during construction and re‑program as required.
- Integrate information from designers, construction, subcontractors, and suppliers to create a master schedule.
- Coordinate between areas and departments to elaborate a realistic schedule.
- Prepare detailed construction programs in Primavera P6.
- Produce the narrative and presentation of planning and programming philosophy.
- Generate cost forecasts and conduct Earned Value Management processes.
- Continuously monitor project problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Track construction claims and change orders related to scheduling impacts.
- Prepare Extensions of Time (EOT).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with customers, public, employee, and vendors.
- Use appropriate computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, and adapt to changing software and processes.
- Work collaboratively in a team while exercising initiative independently.
- Embrace workplace change and encourage innovative approaches.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field with a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in project scheduling and maintaining/updating Primavera P6 schedules and performance measurement systems within heavy civil construction projects.
- OR a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the same area.
- Use of standard office equipment and determining the required physical effort for the role.
- Each item can be categorized as N (Not Applicable), O (Occasionally), F (Frequently), or C (Constantly) per company classification.
